A very scary moment at the Import vs Domestic / World Cup Finals this weekend at MIR when this Turbo Honda Civic hit the guard rail and catapulted into the air! The wreck left the driver responsive but in a lot of pain. After being life flighted to the hospital we heard he had a punctured lung but rumored to be ok other than that.

It looked a bit twitchy even before the chute opened, if you look at the board he had a faster time but a lower speed which suggests he eased off before he crossed the line. Maybe he could feel it was going wrong.
